Re: Midget K Series AlternatorThanks for the photos, it looks like a fair amount of work is required. You might want to start a new thread under the K series section.

Re: Dipstick(with thanks to Keith (KTM Moore) and Lawrence Slater for following initial measurements) as I have realised my dipstick is stashed away somewhere while the engine is in pieces - not in the car under the cover in the drive, doh!

Re: Top hoseSo I guess the standard Midget hose doesn't fit? There are places you can get hoses made specially, I'm sure they will show up on Google.

Re: Midget K Series Alternatorsorry for the late reply!! Did you solve this? If not it would be worth posting the pictures on the K series Midget Facebook page and see what the thinking is.

Re: Front wishbone lower fulcrum pin greasing. It looks like those made by Barry King at spridget wishbone supplies come with grease nipples both ends, but as they are new , not refurbished, I expect he fits the same threaded insert at each end.

Re: Main Beam Warning LightIf you splice the new wires into the loom correctly and use heat shrink over the joint, it should look quite neat and work reliably. Wiring is only a bodge when its done badly!

Re: Modified Clutch Release Bearing for 1098cc Midget MK2Have you given Peter May a ring? He does roller bearing releases for the 12275, and will probably know if there is a similar solution for the other engines.

Clutches for uprated enginesSo, you have tweaked your trusty A series, higher lift cam, maybe raised the compression a tad, what clutch do you fit?

Re: LED LightsI sourced these through Classic Car LEDs. I tried the Moss rear lights, but the light pattern was very poor. The Classic Car ones are much better.

Best wheelsAn interesting discussion going on the Facebook page about the best wheels for a Midget, minilites (silver or coloured) or Rostyles. Wire wheels haven't been added to the equation yet!

Re: Carb TrumpetsRichie, when you say "jetted up", what do you mean? The only way to do this accurately is on a rolling road, which would show up any hesitations and should be adjusted to match the needles' fuel flow to the airflow.
